Flat Tables

Varying degrees of light and shade of the smooth table surface are achieved by pouring coloured-epoxy onto the naturally uneven surface. The thickness of the solidified epoxy resin on the surface changes naturally due to an undulating surface of the wood. We created a colourful table top featuring the beauty of the natural shades. We used a curved antique wooden board, assembled pieces in various ways, and made holes in the components to create varying degrees of unevenness in the surfaces.
